Volunteers are important for People’s Community Clinic to provide healthcare services to underserved workers and their families in Central Texas. The gift of your time can make a significant different to People’s patients, many of whom are low-income working singles or families without healthcare insurance.
- All volunteers must

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I shadow a doctor?
For reasons of patient privacy and lack of space, we do not typically accept requests to shadow doctors.
Can I participate in direct patient care?
For liability purposes, volunteers without medical credentials cannot participate in direct patient care.
We typically do not have providers volunteer in primary care, but we do have volunteer specialists who provide specialty care on a monthly basis. (For example: cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, gastroenterology, etc.)
Do you have any volunteer openings right now?
Yes! Volunteer opportunities vary based upon the needs of the clinic and the expertise of the volunteer. Please see our Current Volunteer Openings page or contact the Volunteer Coordinator for more information.
We receive more requests to volunteer than we can fill, and we may not have openings at the immediate time of your interest. Volunteers who demonstrate commitment to the PCC mission will receive priority consideration.
How can I apply to volunteer?
There aren’t any current opportunities I’m interested in, but I’d still like to volunteer.
