People’s Director of Dental Services Dr. Carlos Diaz, DDS, RGDT, began his career in San Salvador, El Salvador, where he spent a year volunteering his services to underserved populations. Afterwards, he moved to the U.S. to complete his schooling at the University of Texas at San Antonio’s International Dentist Program. Diaz has worked in Buffalo, NY; Brownsville, Laredo, and Cypress, TX. Now at People’s Community Clinic, he’s looking forward to applying his 15+ years of experience to the treatment of high-risk patients. Dr. Diaz said, “I am excited to build a five-star dental program at People’s where patients will receive the best quality of care, regardless of their ability to pay.” Outside of the People’s Dental Van (where he treats patients), Dr. Diaz enjoys cheering for his favorite soccer and football teams, running, and discovering all the great vegan food that Austin has to offer.
