Integrated Behavioral Health

The Integrated Behavioral Health Program (IBH) at People’s Community Clinic offers proven care for patients facing emotional or mental health challenges. The program aims to support patients’ well-being and help primary care providers feel confident in addressing behavioral health needs.

In this program, the primary care provider, behavioral health specialist, and consulting psychiatrist work together in the clinic to treat conditions like depression and anxiety. If patients need more specialized care, they are referred to trusted community partners but can still receive their medical care at People’s.

Clinic social workers check if patients are eligible for IBH. Enrolled patients get a full assessment, a personalized care plan, and access to medication management, regular progress checks, and short-term therapy. Progress is measured with standard tools until goals are reached.

Support from the St. David’s Foundation helps patients get the medications they need through the People’s pharmacy and the Patient Pharmaceutical Assistance Program.
