Disco Ball Raises $13,000 for People’s Community Clinic

Event Entirely Underwritten by Generous Austin-ites

March 3, 2009

People's Community Clinic today announced that they have received over $13,000 from the Disco Ball, a party completely underwritten by generous Austin-ites. Through the generosity of the hosts and the in-kind sponsors, all ticket sales proceeds are going directly to primary care services for PCC patients.

Over 75 people attended the event, each donating a minimum of $150. Most came in 70's dress, and all enjoyed a look back to the disco era, with music by Dysfunkshun Junkshun.

"People's Community Clinic is grateful for the unwavering support we receive from the Austin community," said Regina Rogoff, Chief Executive Officer, People's Community Clinic. "Even in this difficult economy, people are finding creative ways to still give to the important safety net providers, like PCC."

Guests danced the night away while enjoying hospitality from Word of Mouth Catering, Premiere Tents and Events and Tito's Handmade Vodka. These vendors, along with Central Texas Valet and General Printing, donated their goods and services to PCC and in appreciation for the organization's important work.

Underwriters of this year's event were: Tami and Bob Blais, Karen and Brian Burgess, Dane and Christopher Tiensch, Jane Webre and David Plaut, and Gabrielle Theriault and Gary Grossenbacher
