Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody Event Joins Austin Community Leaders

Event Raises More than $51,000 for PCC

Regina Rogoff and GDHM representativeSome of Austin's top business, political, civic, and entertainment leaders came together for Engaging Conversations, an event benefiting the People's Community Clinic (PCC) and sponsored by the Austin law firm Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody on Thursday, September 25.

GDHM made a contribution to PCC of $100 for each guest who attended the Engaging Conversations dinner, and matched guests' contributions to PCC up to $500.  This year's event raised a total donation of over $51,000 for PCC.

Betty Dunkerley, former Mayor Pro Tem, Austin City Council, former Assistant City Manager;

Ronnie Earle, Travis County District Attorney since 1976, former member of the Texas House of Representatives;

Desiree Ficker, professional triathlete who placed second in the Hawaii Ironman competition;

DeAnn Friedholm, former U.S. resident advisor to the South African National Treasury in Pretoria, former executive director of the Children's Defense Fund of Texas and People's Community Clinic Board member;

Carie Graves, head women's rowing coach at The University of Texas at Austin, Olympic gold medalist;

Bart Knaggs, partner in Capital Sports and Entertainment representing clients including Lance Armstrong and Austin City Limits;

Nashid Madyun, Director, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, former executive director, Stax Museum of American Soul Music; 

Judy Maggio, Co-anchor, CBS KEYE 42 evening news;

Lucy Collins Nazro, Head of School, St. Andrew's Episcopal School;

Cliff Redd, Executive director, the Long Center for the Performing Arts;

Jeanette Scott, art director and set decorator on major motion pictures including Sin City, Selena and the Spy Kids series;

BJ Stanbery, Founder, HelioVolt Corporation, solar industry innovator and pioneer;

Steven Tomlinson, writer and performer of the nationally acclaimed Off-Broadway one-man show American Fiesta, teacher in the MBA Program at the Acton School of Business and the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest
