Guide to Donating Supplies
People's Community Clinic is happy to accept many donations of medical and office supplies from the community. To learn about the Clinic's in kind donation policy or to find out what we can and cannot not accept, please visit our guidelines page.
Matching Gifts Program
Many individuals choose to maximize their charitable giving by participating in their company's Matching Gift program. Your company's human resources or community affairs department can provide additional information about matching gifts, or we would be happy to provide information about programs we have worked with before. Companies that we have worked with are: Advanced Micro Devices, Aetna, Applied Materials, Bank of America, Dell, Inc., Electronic Arts, ExxonMobil, Guaranty Bank, Hospira, Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Wells Fargo Bank.
Planned Giving / Estate Giving
Planned giving is a great way to make a lasting contribution to a non-profit you care about, a gift that can also result in favorable tax considerations for you. People's Community Clinic is proud to be the recipient of these commitments, and will work with you to choose one of the many options that best suits your needs. We recommend consulting your estate lawyer or financial advisor about making a planned gift that is right for you. For more information about planned giving opportunities, please contact the development department at 512-708-3109.
Special Event Sponsorship
A great way for individuals and companies to lend significant, visible support is through sponsoring a special event. Our largest event is our annual Luncheon, although other opportunities become available each year. For information on upcoming sponsorship opportunities, please check the Events page or contact Director of Development Margaret Henkels (512-708-3106 or via email).
Community Fundraisers
Individuals and businesses in the community often choose to host independent fundraising drives or events to benefit People's Community Clinic, and we love this community enthusiasm! Community fundraisers take many shapes and forms, from neighborhood drives to employee fundraisers to fun parties. Please let us know about your efforts to organize or sponsor a fundraiser so we can recognize your efforts and offer support if we are able. We do ask that you please give us a chance to review any publicity material that includes our logo or name before distribution. For more information, contact Director of Development Margaret Henkels (512-708-3106 or via email).
The Soup Peddler: SoupShare Program
You may have seen The Soup Peddler written up in the Austin American Statesman and Food & Wine Magazine. This Austin company delivers fresh artisanal meals (soup is just the first course!) directly to your home or office.
The Soup Peddler has set up a website just for PCC's supporters at www.souppeddler.com/austinpcc, and five percent of all purchases made through this website comes back to support our mission! Even better, this is not just a one-shot deal. The Soup Peddler’s menu changes every single week, and ALL your purchases now and in the future count towards our fundraising efforts. Just make sure that you enter the Soup Peddler site through our link, and every bit you savor directly benefits the good work we’re doing here at People's Community Clinic. We appreciate your support, and bon appétit!
Randalls Good Neighbor Program

Did you know you can give to People's Community Clinic through your Randalls Remarkable card? Just sign up to link our Good Neighbor number (715) to your Remarkable card, and every time you make a purchase using your Remarkable card, the total purchase will be automatically credited to the Clinic. Randalls will then periodically donate a percentage of the total to the Clinic.
To sign up: download the sign-up form
, fill it out and return it to any Randalls Courtesy Booth. If you don't have a Remarkable card, you can go to any Randalls Courtesy Booth and fill out a Remarkable Application Form. Fill in the charity "Good Neighbor Program" section. People's Community Clinic's Good Neighbor account number is 715. To learn more, please visit Randall's Good Neighbor Program Information Page.
GoodSearch
What if
People's Community Clinic earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? The folks at Goodsearch.com offer a search engine that donates half its revenue (about a penny per search) to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter People's Community Clinic as the charity you want to support.
Please make every gift count this holiday season. More than 1,300 top stores including Amazon, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Apple, Gap and more will donate a percentage of virtually every sale to People's Community Clinic. Just go to GoodShop.com, designate us as the cause you support and then click over to your favorite store. You pay nothing extra - and you can even save money as GoodShop lists thousands of money-saving coupons and free shipping offers. Or, add our toolbar to your browser at http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar - and your purchases will count even if you forget to go to GoodShop first! There's no easier way to support us this holiday season!
Car Donation Program
Donating your car is another way to support People's Community Clinic. If you're interested in donating your vehicle to support the Clinic, we make it easy!
- You can donate two ways: (1) call toll-free 1-877-537-5277 or (2) email at your convenience .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to speak to a Vehicle Donation Representative. The representative will schedule a pickup for your vehicle that is convenient for you, and provide you with confirmation of your donation.
- If the gross proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle are $500 or more and if you provide your social security number to our representative at the time of your donation, you will also receive an IRS Tax Form 1098C stating the sale price of the vehicle. This amount is what you claim on your itemized tax return. According to tax law effective January 1, 2005, if the claimed value of the donated vehicle exceeds $500, the taxpayer is limited to the gross proceeds of the sale.
For more information about donating your car, read the Frequently Asked Questions page (please note this link takes you away from the People's Community Clinic website).
